Do You Have Asbestos?
Asbestos was commonly used in Sydney homes built between 1945 and 1987 in products including fibro sheeting (flat and corrugated), eaves, roofing, guttering, vinyl floor tiles, pipe insulation and more. If your home was built before 1990, it may contain asbestos — and you should not disturb it without having it assessed first.
Our Asbestos Removal Process
- Site assessment — We inspect the property and identify asbestos-containing materials
- Sample testing — Where required, samples are sent to a certified laboratory
- Removal plan — We prepare a removal plan that complies with NSW SafeWork regulations
- Safe removal — All asbestos is removed using appropriate PPE and containment methods
- Legal disposal — Asbestos is transported and disposed of at a licensed facility
- Clearance certificate — An independent air monitoring clearance certificate is issued on completion
Pre-Demolition Asbestos Removal
Before any demolition work can begin on a property containing asbestos, the asbestos must be removed and a clearance certificate obtained. We handle this as part of our full demolition service — you don't need to organise a separate contractor. It's one less thing to coordinate.
Licensing and Compliance
All asbestos work in NSW is regulated by SafeWork NSW. Removal of more than 10m² of bonded asbestos, or any amount of friable asbestos, must be carried out by a licensed contractor. We are fully licensed and compliant. All disposal is carried out at EPA-approved facilities with documentation provided.
