How to Get an Accurate Demolition Quote in Sydney

What to send a Sydney demolisher to get an accurate written quote: photos, plans, asbestos info, access details. Tips from a Sydney demolition contractor.

Most demolition quotes you'll receive are unreliable because the contractor doesn't have enough information about your site. Here's exactly what to send so you get a real, fixed-price quote you can rely on.

The Five Things Every Demolisher Needs

  1. Property address. So we can check council, access and tip distances.
  2. House type and approximate floor area. Brick, fibro, weatherboard, timber, double-storey — and rough square metres if you have plans.
  3. Photos. Front, back, both sides, the roof if you can, and any sheds, pools, garages or retaining walls.
  4. Access details. Driveway width, overhead wires, shared driveways, neighbouring buildings within 1 metre of the boundary.
  5. Known hazards. Any asbestos confirmed or suspected, underground tanks, pools, contaminated soil history.

Plans Aren't Required, But They Help

If you have architectural plans, a survey or a Section 10.7 certificate, send them through. They speed up the quote and reduce site visits. If you don't — that's fine, photos and address are enough for us to give you a ballpark within an hour and a fixed price after a free site inspection.

Red Flags in Cheap Quotes

  • No mention of asbestos handling or licensed disposal
  • No public liability insurance details
  • No NSW demolition licence number on the quote
  • Verbal only — refuse to put it in writing
  • Vague allowances like 'plus disposal at cost'
  • No mention of service disconnections or who arranges them

Our fixed quotes are written, include asbestos, list inclusions/exclusions clearly, and reference our NSW Demolition Licence AD214611.

Why a Site Visit Matters

For anything bigger than a small shed, we recommend a free site inspection before locking in the price. We check access, asbestos load, underground services and disposal logistics. The site visit takes 20–30 minutes and turns a ballpark estimate into a fixed written quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly will I get a written quote?

Most quotes are returned within 24 hours of a site inspection. Smaller jobs often within a few hours.

Is the site inspection really free?

Yes — Sydney-wide. No obligation, no callback pressure.

Do you quote on email or do I need to meet in person?

We can give a ballpark by email with photos and address, but the final fixed quote needs a quick site visit.
