Why Asbestos Matters
Many Sydney homes built before 1990 can contain asbestos. It may be in fibro walls, eaves, roofs, bathrooms, laundries, sheds, garages, floor coverings or old backing boards.
Do Not Disturb Suspected Asbestos
If asbestos is suspected, it should be assessed and handled by appropriately licensed personnel before demolition proceeds. The goal is to keep the site safe and provide clearance documentation where required.
